My lovely daughter introduced me to a phrase they use where she works which I’ve adopted for personal use. JFDI. Just f***ing do it.
I’m not sure if this is common parlance in her office and I’m thinking it would only work in a well-established coaching relationship. But I love it for all of us as a bit of self-coaching. For those moments when we’re pfaffing about and procrastinating and looking for reasons not to do something (or trying to get someone else to do it!).
When I’m able to recognise I’m in one of those moments (which is a skill in itself) I’ve found a little self-coaching JFDI directive can work wonders!
