One of the big challenges we all face with the volume of information out there is what to do with it once we’ve read it. Have you specifically set aside time to read and reflect on this and other articles? Has the headline grabbed you and you’re having a quick read before the next meeting?
Reading any content won’t make you a better coach UNLESS you commit some time to reflect on what you read and have a well thought through approach to coaching where ‘new’ ideas can EASILY be road-tested and fine-tuned to see if they work for you. If these 2 things are in place, you’re in a great position to take advantage of the information overload we now all face. If you don’t, reading the last 2 paragraphs will only be useful if it encourages you to actually DO something about it!
