Something to think about if you want to be better in ANY interaction…

A question to leave you with this time.

Humans are driven by needs – food, water, shelter, connection and significance among others.  In any interaction these needs will be playing out somehow in your behaviours (the word hangry comes to mind!).

When I work with coaches I encourage them to be very vigilant on how their needs interact with the needs of the person they’re working with – something which is really not easy as sometimes (often?) we aren’t aware of, or misinterpret our own needs in the moment.

This points to an opportunity – if we want to be better in ANY interaction, then how effective we are at understanding and communicating our needs to others is crucial.

And if this is important, we then need to ask, are you any good at doing it?
